Busy Weekend!

Jammin' in the Beer Garden

This past weekend was a busy one for Black Water! We played two 1/2 hour shows at the Beaches Celtic Festival at Kew Gardens (in Toronto) to a very receptive neighbourhood crowd. Then on Sunday, we played at the annual Guelph Scottish festival at Legion 234.

Click on the pictures for larger versions. Oh, and just a reminder, these pictures may not be used for any purpose (apart from personal viewing) without permission of Black Water Pipe Band. So nyah.

Tuning upHurry Hurry, get those pipes in tune Dave! We've only got 5 minutes until showtime at the Beaches Festival. Oh, wait... We've got AN HOUR!
Piping in the ParkGetting ready for the show at the Beaches Celtic Festival. Note the patient drummers in the background waiting for the pipers to get their act together.
Jammin' in the Beer GardenWell, you can tell it is September. As soon as the sun started going down, one of our drummers got a little cold!
Relaxing after the showAfter two very good (and surprisingly long... two half hours of piping really kills me) shows, it's time for a little relaxation in the tiny, tiny beer garden at Kew.
Impromptu show in the LegionA quick show for the Guelph Legion members after the outdoor events had all finished.

Fall Season Warm-up

Well, although September is technically summer until the 22nd, it's really the fall season for many things (ha ha all you people in school! nyah nyah). We have a fairly busy September, starting with Labour Day, then Beaches, and then Guelph. Cabbagetown may be happening too, I will keep you posted. See you at practice this Tuesday (7th).
