Buster's Cup Hockey Tournament

Yesterday was the 8th annual Buster's Cup. This was a hockey tournament held at the Scarborough Gardens Arena (for all you junior A hockey fans, this is the current home of the Wexford Raiders). Black Water played for the opening of the final game. We actually marched on and off the ice and, surprisingly, no one fell! We all had some close calls though. Apparently when you stand on ice in brogues for a few minutes, the warm leather melts the ice a little bit and then freezes to your sole. Yikes!

Our fearless pipe major marched the winning team from Buster's to Legion 13 through the miserable snow and rain, where a wonderful roast beef dinner was awaiting the hockey players. Black Water played a good set with some of our unique medleys, and a few crowd-pleaser tunes as well.

I don't know about the rest of you, but when we finally had a chance to eat the dinner, I inhaled it! Thanks for a great dinner, Buster's organizers!
