Ux-tasy!

Uxbridge Highland Games. Weather was fabulous. Crowds were huge. Food was SLOW (please, please, please get some better food vendors) Concert was great! Bagpipes in tune (except for my wacky High G, methinks). Bongos were banged. Beers were drank. Double-Backed-To-Back Massed Bands was ... odd.
Everyone had a great time at Uxbridge. It's a really good venue for pipe band playing, and having the whole beer gardens as the audience is much nicer than a small Grade 4 circle tucked in the corner somewhere.

Well that pretty much wraps up the Summer Highland Game season for Black Water. Join us at Warrior's Day down at the CNE for our next event!

The band put on an excellent performance. The pipes sounded great, drums were great, even the bongos added that wee bit of flair. Congradulations on a job well done by the dancers; very nice choreography. You girls added a nice touch to the show, especially the two young ones, Tabitha and Lindsey. Lets do it all again next year.

It was a great day. The band was awesome, the dancers were awesome, the crowd was energetic. What more could you ask for? I know all of my girls had a blast. Any time you need highland dancers, you know who to call :)

Great show and lots of fun! A wee point of clarification...I was playing congas (not bongos)...a "quinta and conga" to be precise. However, after listening to the Toronto Police trio, I may consider adding bongos to the kit—they sound great too.

It is wonderful (if not rare) to hear any form of drumming acknowledged by the pipers (bring it on!!) and as a form of thanks, they warrant a little bit of "educational" feedback. Perhaps we should expand the name of the band to the Black Water Pipes and Drums Band?!
